I was born on January 4th 1960, in Eliot Lake Ontario.
I have devoted many years to research and study past master’s techniques and styles in my attempt to gain an understanding of line, light and colour. Apart from brief studies at the Ontario College of Art, I consider myself self-taught. I have pursued an art career on a full time basis for the last fifteen years.
The recent years have been marked by many transitions and by much artistic growth. My work experienced a transition from traditional representational imagery to visual expression of abstract mathematical and scientific concepts. In 2003, in an effort to better understand modern mathematical and scientific ideas, I enrolled in a Bachelor of Sciences program. Although this endeavour restricted my available painting time, I nonetheless felt it would allow me to blossom personally, academically, and artistically. The artwork produced during this period became the most creative work of my artistic career.
